Project Overview.

Many SACCOs and small financial groups still rely on spreadsheets and manual record keeping to manage member savings, loans, and financial reporting.
While this approach may work for very small groups, it quickly becomes inefficient as membership grows. Manual tracking often leads to delayed reporting, inconsistent records, and difficulty managing loan repayments.
To address these challenges, LB Digital Solutions developed Wekesha, a cloud-based financial management platform designed specifically for SACCOs and community financial groups.
The platform provides a centralized system where administrators can manage members, savings contributions, loans, and financial reports in a secure and structured environment.

Strategic Brief.

The goal of the project was to create a digital management platform for SACCO operations that simplifies financial administration while maintaining transparency and accountability.
The system needed to support several core SACCO activities:

  • Loan application and repayment monitoring
  • financial reporting for administrators

Additionally, the platform had to be accessible online so SACCO administrators could manage operations from anywhere.

Execution.

LB Digital Solutions designed Wekesha as a multi-tenant SaaS platform, allowing multiple financial groups to operate independently within the same system while maintaining complete data separation.
